SCORE: How's the cat?
Lulu Devine : It's fine…should be for a $200 cat.
SCORE: A Persian?
Lulu Devine : No…it was a stray cat that my mother fell in love with. Naturally I have to take care of the cat and, of course, the vet ripped me off. But, it's okay because I love the expensive little thing!
SCORE: Are you one of those cat people…the kind with college funds?
L D: No college for my kitties! I have two Persians that are my babies-like two little people. I'm an animal person. In fact, Toppsy and I are thinking of buying a big farm in Florida because we love being around animals so much.
SCORE: Florida? Usually people buy farms in the mid-west.
L D: Ilike it out there too , but Ilove being around the ocean and in Florida you can get the best of both worlds. Plus, the weather in Florida is absolutely perfect. Toppsy and I can get some horses because we both love horses.
SCORE: Because of your mother?
L D: Right!She adores them and has always been affiliated with race-horses. We were riding when we were kids. My mom was into the horses and my dad into baseball.
SCORE: Speaking of baseball, what do you think of Florida's team?
L D: The Marlins! They're pretty good. Toppsy and I are thinking about doing our routine there.
SCORE: The "Kissing Bandit Routine?"
L D: That's us!It's funny, because Morganna gets pissed everytime somebody calls us the "Kissing Bandits" or when a newspaper says the "Kissing Bandits" are back. We didn't promote ourselves as that, but she always gets mad. We've had some fights over it and I don't know why she's getting all worked up over it. She retired and when I retire, if somebody else does it, I won't have any hard feelings. In fact, I'd wish them the best. As far as I'm concerned, with baseball you need a big-breasted girl. It goes along with the hot-dogs and beer.
SCORE: Like the national anthem?
L D: I'll tell you, when I run out they stand up and salute. It's a lot of fun, except when the police come and cart you away. I haven't gone out this year and I had a bad time in Detroit last year
